The Lotus House is a shelter located in Overtown, Miami. This unique resource center opens its doors to 130 women and children annually. At the shelter, the women are nurtured and supported to help them achieve greater self sufficiency by building a better way of life for themselves and their children. The goal is to help them transition
into a permanent home off the streets. Lotus House Thrift is actually run and staffed entirely by Lotus House guests and alumni. If you love to shop, why not give back to your community and help women who are seeking a better lifestyle themselves. Your contributions will fund services such as individual and group counseling, computer lessons, medical and mental health services.Lotus House Thrift is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Shoppers may also drop off items during these hours.
